Irene Duciaume, 94

FULTON, NY – Irene Duciaume 94, of Fulton, died Wednesday April 23, 2014, in Michaud Residential Nursing Home, Fulton.

She was born in North Volney, NY, to the late Herbert and Alice (Broadwell) Stevens.

Mrs. Duciaume was a lifetime resident of North Volney.

She was past employed with Taggerts, Oswego, and Birdseye of Fulton after 10+ years of service.

Mrs. Duciaume was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed joking and playing cards.

She was predeceased by her husband, Fabian Joseph Duciaume; siblings: Jack, Herman, Herbert and Earl Stevens, and Iola Polson.

Mrs. Duciaume is survived by her children: Richard L. Duciaume of Florida, Clarence F. “Duke” (Donna) Duciaume of Texas, Marlene V. (David McConnell) Baker of Fulton and Benita I. (Vernon) Reynolds of Oswego; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at North Volney Church, 2680 County Route 6, Fulton, with Rev. Tammy Nipper officiating.

Burial will in North Volney Cemetery, North Volney, at the convenience of the family.

There will be no calling hours.

The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.

  1. My heartfelt condolences to the family. I have many fond memories of aunt Irene and uncle Fay growing up. Always a lot of fun at their house with all you kids. R.I.P.
