It’s Alive, It’s Alive – Part Two

To The Editor:
This year has been a year of firsts at the Oswego County Legislature.

In previous letters, I mentioned some of them.

The biggest and most important firsts came in the past two months.

If you remember a letter I wrote about bipartisanship being alive and well in the Oswego County Health Committee.

Well here is the biggest first I have seen in the three years I have been on the legislature.

This year, the legislature approved budget reduction suggestions that were presented by the Minority Caucus.

This shows that bipartisanship is alive and starting to breath on its own within the county legislative body.

I would like to take this time to thank the entire Legislature and all the department heads that took the time to look over the proposed adjustments and voted in favor of accepting some of them.

Not all of the adjustments were accepted, but it is a start and I say “THANK YOU.”

With those adjustments being accepted and NO increase in taxes, I voted YES to this year’s 2017 budget.
