FULTON, NY – There is no next week or any other week to compete for the 2014 track championships. This Saturday Ingles Performance and VP Small Engine Fuels present Championship Night at the Fulton Speedway.
The lines have been drawn in the sand and there are no such thing as teammates or friends when the Tracey Road Equipment DIRTcar Modified track championship get settled this Saturday on the ‘High Banks’. Coming into the 35-Lap finale Saturday teammates Billy Decker and Larry Wight are separated by one single point with former track champion Jimmy Phelps just 25 points back.
In a season where no point lead is safe, in the SUNY Canton Sportsman there is just as much at stake as in the Modifieds. Ron Davis III looks for his first title as Beth Schneider looks to repeat as champion. Here is the top-five in the standings. Ron Davis III (640) – Beth Schneider (614) – Tony Finch II (599) – Mike Button (592) – Corey Barker (575). As has been witnessed all season long no lead or track position is a sure thing until the checkers wave.
Tim Sears Jr. and AJ Kingsley will be pulling out all stops as they battle till the final lap in the NAPA Late Models. Heading into their 20-Lap feature Saturday, Sears holds just an 18 point cushion over Kingsley.
John Cunningham has a big enough spread in the points to be the first ever A-Verdi Storage Containers 305 Sprints champion at the Speedway. Chuck Powelczyk will be crowned champion in the Hilton’s Automotive Four Cylinders.
