OSWEGO, NY – James F. ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œPeteÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â Peterson, 66 and a resident of 65 Liberty St., Oswego, died Friday July 4, 2008, at his home.
He was born in Oswego and was the son of the late Frederick J. ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œBootsÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â Peterson and Jane Maybe Smith.
He was the husband of Ann Savage Peterson.
Following his retirement from Alcan, Mr. Peterson was employed with the Oswego City School District as a crossing guard.
He was member of the Oswego Elks Lodge, a social member of the VFW Post 5885 and a communicant of St. MaryÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Church.
Mr. Peterson was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
InÃƒâ€šÃ‚Â addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, James (Lesa) Peterson and Jay (Dina) Peterson both of Oswego; one brother, George Smith of Oswego; his father in-law, Harry Savage of Oswego; five grandchildren, Zachary Eason, Brook Eason, Austen Peterson, Cassandra Peterson and Emily Peterson; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Peterson was predeceased by his daughter, Jane F. Eason; his grandson, James J. Eason; three sisters, Laura J. Burger, Fran Reid and Mary Kelly.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Thursday 10 a.m. in St. MaryÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Church.
Burial will be in St. PeterÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be Wednesday 4-7 p.m. at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
Contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice in Mr. PetersonÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s memory.
