James F. Scaccia

James F. Scaccia,74, of Vero Beach FL, died Sunday September 5, after a short illness.

Mr. Scaccia was born in Oswego the son of the late Achile and Mary (Falvo) Scaccia, and he has been a resident of Vero Beach FL since 2004. Mr. Scaccia retired as a contractor advisor for Williams Power, in NYC after years of service. He was a member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Local # 73, Oswego, and the Italian American Club in Oswego and Florida. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and reading.

Mr. Scaccia was predeceased by his son Joseph Scaccia, brothers Joseph, Anthony, and Ronald Scaccia, and sisters Olivia Klefbeck, Lena Allen, and Barbara Gregg.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-one years Candis Scaccia, his daughter Stephanie Scaccia of Rochester, brothers Angelo “Midge” Scaccia of Oswego, Frank (Sandra) Scaccia of Liverpool, sisters Angeline Audlin, and Peggy (Michael) Famularo of Oswego, two grandsons Gregory Bradshaw and Joshua Scaccia.

Funeral services will be Friday 12:00 noon at the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home 147 West Fourth Street, Oswego. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, Oswego. Calling hours will be Friday 9:00 – 12:00 at the funeral home 147 West Fourth St. Oswego

    We were so sorry to read about Jimmie on line. He was a great guy-we valued his friendship for many years. Jim, Ronnie Sharp, Knoop and all those guys had some great memories working together–they had a ball and many laughs. We remember the good times and build on them. Candie, we feel for you, your loss is different than anyone else-you are in our thoughts and prayers.
