Mr. Rebeor traveled throughout the United States in his younger days, living in Florida, Texas and California.

He worked in the construction trades, often as a painter and carpenter.

He returned to Minetto in his later years to care for his mother.

Reb would be the first to join in a party and always with a good story to tell about the experiences of his life; everyone liked him.

He was loyal, trusted and cared deeply about his friends and family.

In a firm but gentle voice when needed, he would not hesitate to ask, “Minguia, what were you thinking?”

After leaving Oswego High School in 1966, Mr. Rebeor voluntarily joined the U.S. Navy – at a time when men were being drafted to fight in the Vietnam War.

He served aboard the U.S.S. Cony from June 1968 until assigned to decommission the U.S.S. Topeka in 1969.

He finished his tour aboard the U.S.S. Hugh Purvis and was honorably discharged in November 1969.

He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.

Mr. Rebeor enjoyed repairing and refinishing old furniture in his workshop.

He was a baseball and basketball fan having played both as a young man.

He liked to golf, fish and enjoyed vegetable gardening.
