OSWEGO, NY – Janice M. Colon, 68, of Granby, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday January 7, 2016.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Frances (Arroway) Barker.
Janice liked going to the casino and she loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her sister, Norma Perez, for the special care she gave to her and her family.
Janice is survived by her loving husband, Angel Louis Colon; three daughters, Annette Colon, Maria Diaz and Carmen Colon; three sons, Angelo Colon, Ramon Colon and Jose Colon; two brothers, Fred Barker and David Barker; four sisters, Virginia Barba, Joanne Alavardo, Norma Perez and Elizabeth Velez Rivera; 42 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sisters, Mildred Slaver, Mary Perez, Leona Rivera and Isabelle Guzman; and a brother Norman, Barker.
Calling hours will be held 1-4 p.m. Saturday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St. Oswego.
Spring burial will be held in Rural Cemetery.
