OSWEGO, NY – Jeanette M. Victory, 82, a resident of 131 W. First St. in Oswego, and a former resident of County Route 7 in the Town of Oswego, passed away Wednesday July 9, 2008, at Oswego Hospital.
Mrs. Victory was born in Oswego, the daughter of the late George and Marion (Laurent) Johnson.
She was formerly employed at KarpinskiÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Cleaners in Oswego.
Mrs. Victory was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She enjoyed cooking and sewing, and loved spending time with her family.
She was a member of the Oswego Center Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Victory Sr. of Oswego; a daughter, Gail (Greg) Cooper of Oswego; two sons, Robert (Linda) Victory Jr. of Oswego, and Dennis Lee (Carolyn Maloney) Victory of Oswego; three brothers, Wesley (Ethel) Johnson of Florida, Leroy (Gladys) Johnson of Oswego, and Paul (Kathy) Johnson of Oswego; two sisters, Evelyn (Harvey) Lawton of Oswego, and Doris Wiggins of Auburn; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a sister, Rose Scruton.
Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at the Oswego Center Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St. in Oswego.
