ARISE is pleased to announce the appointment of Jennifer Torrese as manager of the Oswego Community Services Department which includes community and day habilitation, a skill-building program for individuals with developmental disabilities, as well as the In-Home Respite Program which provides in-home respite services by trained staff.
Her personal and professional experiences as well as her strong commitment to the mission of independent living make her extremely well-suited for this role. She has a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a master’s degree in education.
Torrese’s professional experience includes teaching as well as case management. She worked for ARISE as a Medicaid services coordinator 2010 – 2012 and then worked for the Office for the Aging as a case manager.
In the community, she is known for her passion for teaching youth soccer, and has coached for years with the Oswego Youth Soccer Association.
