Jesse A. Wallace, 71, of Fulton died Saturday at St. Josephâ€™s Hospital in Syracuse after a brief illness with his daughters by his side. He worked as a mason by trade and retired from SUNY at Oswego in 2001. Jesse had served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1957 to 1963. He was a communicant of Holy Trinity Church in Fulton where he volunteered his time. Jesse loved to fish and play cards with family and friends.
He was predeceased by his wife, Joyce Wallace, who died in 1993 and by his mother, Georgia Wallace, who died January 21, 2010. Surviving are his three daughters, Susan DiAngelo of Rochester, Kimberley Wallace (Luis Delgado) of Fredericksburg, VA and Christine (Peter) Liberti of Fulton; nine grandchildren and his father, John Wallace, Sr. of VA. Jesse was the eldest of nine children including John, Richard, Roy, Louis, Dennis, Jean, Sandra and Elsie.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Trinity Church, 309 Buffalo Street, Fulton with burial at St. Maryâ€™s Cemetery, Fulton.
