John Edward Budd, 91

OSWEGO, NY – John Edward Budd, 91, a resident of Oswego, passed away Monday December 31, 2012, at St. Luke Health Services.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late George F. and Mary (Carter) Budd.

Budd was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II and the Pacific Theater.

He was an electrician for the local #328 working at Nine Mile 1 and 2 and at SUNY Oswego.

He enjoyed boating, fishing, and hunting.

Surviving are his wife of 73 years, Jean (Butler) Budd; a daughter, Barbara (Frederick) Shuler of Baldwinsville; grandson, Dr. Frederick Shuler of Hartford, Conn.; three great-grandchildren, Jennifer, John and Matthew Shuler; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Arthur and George Budd; and a sister, Helen Haag.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary’s Church.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hour will be held 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday, prior to the service, at the funeral home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

    So sorry for your loss, I remember Mr. Budd well from when Barb and I were in high school, he tolerated me because she and I were just good friends!
