OSWEGO, NY – John R. Haresign Sr., 66, a resident of the Myers Road in the town of Scriba, passed away Thursday Dec. 3, 2009, at Oswego Hospital.
Mr. Haresign was born in Oswego, the son of the late Raymond and Alice (Seinoski) Haresign.
He was a life resident.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed, for 33 years with the Eagle Beverage Co. in Oswego.
He was an avid outdoorsman, and loved hunting, fishing, and trapping.
Mr. Haresign was a communicant of St. StephenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Church and was a former altar boy at the church.
He is survived by his wife, Lucy (Gigon) Haresign of Scriba; three sons, John R. (Tricia) Haresign Jr. of Endicott, NY, Shane R. (Nicole) Haresign of Scriba and Eric M. Haresign of Scriba; and two grandchildren, Reiley Lynn Haresign and Dylan John Haresign.
Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday, in St. StephenÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Church.
Burial will be in St. PeterÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
