Joseph DiSalvo, 96, of Phoenix, died peacefully at home surrounded by his beloved family and devoted wife.
He was born in Italy on June 6, 1912 to the late Angelo and Rosaria Messina DiSalvo.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Joseph lived in the Oswego County area for many years, where he was a well known farmer.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â He was the owner-operator of Joseph DiSalvo Farms in Phoenix, which is now operated by his two sons, Joseph and Richard.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â JosephÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s loves were his family, farm, gardening and hunting.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Theresa Lizzio DiSalvo; two daughters, Sarah (Douglas) Shultz of Altamont and Jacqueline (Michael) Vogt of Hammondsport; two sons, Joseph (Phyllis) DiSalvo and Richard (Melody) DiSalvo, all of Phoenix and nine grandchildren.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Joseph also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who live in Italy.
Funeral services are private.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Entombment will be in All SaintÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Mausoleum at St. PeterÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Cemetery, Oswego.Ãƒâ€šÃ‚Â Foster Funeral Home, Fulton has charge of arrangements.
