Joy A. Crouch, 66

FULTON, NY – Joy A. Crouch, 66, of Fulton, has joined the angels in song on Friday June 19, 2015.

Joy was born March 9, 1949, in Oswego, NY, to the late Nelson and Lucinda (McGregor) Jodway.

She was predeceased by her infant son, Christopher; and brother, Nelson Jodway Jr.

Mrs. Crouch and her husband Raymond have been honorary members of the CNYBA for many years.

She loved to share her singing and songwriting with the public and she had been a musical enjoyment to many.

Mrs. Crouch is survived by her husband of 32 years Raymond C. Crouch of Fulton; children: David Gray of Oswego, Timothy Gray of Oswego, Veronica Gray of Oswego and Rose Angela Dupree of Pulaski, her siblings: Barbara Chvola, Cheryl Prichard and Gary Jodway all of Oswego; and seven stepchildren, one of whom, Cynthia (Crouch) Bouffard, gave Joy loving and tender care during her final days.

Mrs. Crouch is also survived by eight grandchildren.

She considered them to be the bright lights in her life.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Mount Pleasant Methodist Church, Volney, with Rev. Shawn Porter officiating.

Burial will be held privately in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

There will be no calling hours.

The Sugar Funeral Home, Inc., 224 W. Second St. S., Fulton, has care of the arrangements.

  1. Had lost track of Joy ,was close friends when we were younger ,bumped into her last year , (she said her husband was sick and I told her I would pray for him never knowing she was also ill) . She will be greatly missed and flying with angels now . RIP Joy and prayers for those dealing with the loss. Wish we had keep closer contact .

  2. So Sorry to hear about Joy. Know her along time ago ,Just seen her last fall , Had not seen her in year. She look good she never said she was sick would of sent prays. So Sorry for your loss, She flying high with the Angels God Bless

  3. I got to know Joy while working at Birdeye. She was a hard worker and a team player. She had a great sense of humor and always like a good joke. She was very sensitive and caring person. I will miss her smile and that beautiful laugh. RIP my friend. My thought and prayers are with her family during this difficult time.
