Jr. Fan Club Bike Races Highlights Racing Program At Fulton Speedway Saturday

FULTON, NY – (By Dave Medler) – One of the fun nights of the racing season for the kids happens this Saturday as the Jr. Fan Club bike races will take place at the Fulton Speedway. All the kids need is their bike and a helmet and they will take center stage on the front straightaway.

On the race card presented by Sunoco Fulton Ethanol Facility, sponsor of the prestigious 28th annual Outlaw 200 Weekend October 4-5 will be the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, SUNY Canton Sportsman, NAPA Late Models, E&V Energy Novice Sportsman and Four Cylinder Stocks.

Last week in the Tracey Road Equipment Big Block Modifieds, Pat Ward won the caution free 35 lap feature. Ward was able to rundown and pass Chuck Bower with 3 laps to go to pick up the victory. With his win Ward is now the points leader eight points over Ryan Phelps. Here is the top-five in points heading into Saturday. Matt Janczuk, who joined the weekly SUNY Canton Sportsman field the last few races  has made his presence felt with a feature win last Saturday night. Janczuk looks to be a threat the rest of the 2013 season when he shows up behind the wheel of Kiehn Racing 2k. Beth Schneider fresh off a win this past Wednesday night in round three of the Industrial Tire Of CNY Sportsman Shootout Series is the points leader. Dale Caswell made a statement last Saturday in the NAPA Late Models. Caswell took the top spot after early leader Shayne Tenace went pit side on lap 5. Once in the lead, Caswell dominated the rest of the way. Coming into the last seven points races starting this Saturday, Caswell leads the standings. Gary Hoppins has had many victories in the E&V Energy Novice Sportsman but none more impressive than last week. Hoppins took the lead and the win on the last lap on a broken fron end that looked undrivable. Top-five point standings. Skip DeGroff racked up another win in the Four Cylinder Super Stocks increasing his point lead towards the 2013 season title. Top five in points heading into Saturday. Skip DeGroff (558) Mark Johnston (496) Eric Zirbel (476) Keith Zirbel (366) Justin Buske (356).

Gates will open this Saturday at 5:00 with racing at 7:00. Adult admission will be $12 with everyone 18 yrs old and younger is FREE. Pit admission is $25 Members/$30 Non-Members.
