Kaite’s Gift of Hope Foundation to host Yearly Festival of Fun

PULASKI, NY – At just 9 months of age, Kaite Koagel had no idea how ill she was.

Her family was informed that she needed a heart transplant which thankfully her grieving family was able to provide.

Then at age 10, she needed another heart transplant and yet another family was able to provide her with the ultimate gift of life and donate a heart.

Kaite then went on to finish high school, attend the prom and graduation.

But on graduation night, she was hospitalized yet again and was in need of a third heart transplant.

Unfortunately, a heart did not become available in time and Kaite passed away.

Kaite’s parents created the Gift of Hope Foundation as a way to give back to the communities who supported them during their time of need and honor their beautiful daughter for years to come.

In memory of Kaite, the Gift of Hope foundation raises funds to support children’s programs from the APW, Pulaski and Central Square school districts.

All funds go towards the purchase new sports uniforms, equipment, field trips, music equipment and more.

This year’s festival will be held on August 17 from noon to 5 p.m. at the Pulaski Firemen’s Field, 3044 State Route 13, Pulaski, and the foundation is seeking local business sponsors to help put it on.

Please contact Samantha at 315-529-4893 or Deb at 315-385-1622 for more information and how to help sponsor.
