OSWEGO, NY – Kansas, one of Americaâ€™s greatest and most successful progressive rock bands, will headline Friday night at Harborfest 2010.
Kansas has produced eight gold albums, three sextuple-Platinum albums, one platinum live album and a million-selling gold single during its 35 years of existence.
Constellation Energy Nuclear Group, a long time supporter of Harborfest will sponsor the July 23 concert on the Lakeview Stage in Breitbeck Park.

From the beginning, this Topeka, Kansas, “garage bandâ€ achieved success playing only their original music.
Their debut album, Kansas, was released in 1974.
On the strength of their hit single â€œCarry On Wayward Sonâ€ (#11 on the Billboard charts), the bandâ€™s fourth album, Leftoverture was released in October 1976 and hit #5 on the charts.
The title song was the closing song to the 1977 movie Heroes, featuring Henry Winkler and Sally Field.
The follow up Point of Know Return (#4), released in October 1977, featured the title track and â€œDust in the Wind,â€ both hit singles.

Kansas is Phil Ehart (drums), Bill Greer (bass guitar), Dave Ragsdale (violins, guitar), Steve Walsh (keyboards, vocals) and Richard Williams (lead guitar).
Thunderfoot, from Shoals Creek, Alabama, will open the Friday night concert beginning at 7:30.
Harborfest 2010 is scheduled for July 22-25.
