FULTON, NY – Karen J. Engell, 52, of Fulton, died Thursday April 12, 2012, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Massena, she was a life resident of Fulton.
Karen had previously worked for KBC and also sold Avon for many years.
She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church in Fulton.
Karen loved scrapbooking, painting and singing.
She was predeceased by her father, Theodore Engell, who died in 1982; by an uncle, Frederick Decatur; and by an aunt and uncle, Elinor and Ed Mincher all of whom she adored.
Surviving: her husband, Modesto Rivera; daughter, Liliana Rivera; mother, Dorothy Engell; step-daughter, Kristina Rivera; granddaughter, Cameo; faithful canine companion, Chloe; an aunt, Lorraine Decatur; cousin, Gary Decatur; extended family, Andy, Maria, Wendy, Louisa and Daisy Ruiz.
A celebration of Karen’s life will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday at All Saints Episcopal Church.
Burial will be in the Forever Gardens at All Saints Episcopal Church.
