OSWEGO, NY – The Greater Oswego-Fulton Chamber of Commerce, together with the office of US Rep. John Katko, announced that it will host monthly economic development meetings with the Oswego County business community.
Katko will join the group for it inaugural meeting on Aug. 26.
It will be held at the Riverside Banquet Room at the Quality Inn, 70 E. First St., at 3 p.m.
The meeting will provide Katko an opportunity to share his work on initiatives in Congress to strengthen Central New York’s economy, as well as gain valuable feedback from business owners, managers and community residents.
“The chamber knows the importance of connecting local business owners with their government officials and is eager to bring this benefit to the people of Oswego County. By community members asking Rep. Katko questions about issues they face, it give him a better idea of changes that need to be made. It also gives Rep. Katko the chance to tell people about the things that he has accomplished and is currently working on,” said Greg Mills, chamber director.
“Small businesses are the backbone of Central New York’s economy,” Katko said. “I am proud to partner with the chamber to provide a regular open platform to communicate directly with our small business community so that I may better represent their needs in Congress.”
Those wishing to attend the event should RSVP to Mills ([email protected]) at the chamber (343-7681) by August 17.
