Kay N. Schell, 70, a resident of Franklin Ave. Oswego Town, passed away December 3, 2011 at University Hospital, Syracuse.
Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ebenezer and Margaret Haswell.
Kay taught in Andover Public Schools before moving to Oswego, where she worked as a Library Aide in Curriculum Material Center at SUNY Oswego, the Oswego Middle School Library and she retired from Leighton Elementary School Library.
She was an active member of Faith United Church, where she served as Commissioner and Deacon.
She was an avid gardener.
Surviving are her husband, Robert E. Schell, a son, Todd (Kathryn) Schell of Liverpool and a daughter, Nancy Fuster of Tonawanda, NY; four grandchildren, Elizabeth Schell, William Schell, Samuel Fuster and Maxwell Fuster.
Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Wednesday, at the Faith United Church, Oswego. Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Tuesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Faith United Church Memorial Fund, 12 Mark Fitzgibbons Dr. Oswego.
