Kenneth ‘Pete’ Watts Sr., 66


OSWEGO, NY – Kenneth “Pete” Watts Sr., 66, of Oswego, passed away peacefully on Thursday October 22, 2015, at home, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.

Kenneth ‘Pete’ Watts Sr.

Born in Oswego, he was the son of the late Francis and Kathryn (Goman) Watts.

A life resident of Oswego, Pete was a United States Army veteran serving in Southeast Asia from 1969-71 during the Vietnam War.

He retired from Alcan.

He loved hunting and fishing and spending time with his friends and family.

Pete always enjoyed being by the water during summer vacations with all his family and friends.

He lived life to the fullest right to his last days.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 41 years, Mary (Grover) Watts; a daughter, Ashley (Todd Connor) Watts of Oswego; two sons, Pete (Nicki) Watts Jr. of Oswego and Steve (Kim) Watts of Fulton; two brothers, Francis (Colleen) Watts and Pat (Sandy) Watts, both of Oswego; a sister, Cathy Delaney of Oswego; a proud grandfather to Kailsey Watts, Landen Watts, Rhys Connor, Trevin Connor and Logan Watts; several nieces and nephews; and Gary Thompson, of whom he loved as one of his own.

Calling hours will be held 2-6 p.m. Sunday, with a service to follow, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 W. Albany St., Oswego.

    To all the Watts family, my sympathy is with you. Pete was one of five Gomon family relatives to serve their country during the Vietnam War. Pete will surely be missed by all who knew him, and his many cousins all over the US. Rest in Peace cousin and brother Vietnam Veteran.
