Kingsford Park Spellers Advance to Regional

OSWEGO, NY – The students at the Kingsford Park Elementary School competed for the opportunity to earn a position in this year’s Scripps National Spelling Bee regional.

The top three finishers advancing to the regional competition are (left to right) sixth grader Katie Fierro, third grader Mia Fierro (tied for first) and sixth grader Julie Roman (third).

Coordinating the event was ESL teacher Brian Steffen.

They are also joined by KPS Principal Mary Volkomer.
