BURLINGTON, VT )– Kylie R. Fahnestock of Pulaski, NY received a BS degree in Professional Nursing within the College of Nursing & Health Sciences during May commencement ceremonies at the University of Vermont.
The university conferred degrees this year on an estimated 3,097 graduates, including 2,475 bachelor’s, 392 master’s, 97 doctoral, and 111 M.D. degree recipients, in addition to 22 post-baccalaureate certificates. Among degree recipients were students from 43 states 19 countries.
Chartered in 1791, UVM was the first college or university in the United States that did not give preference to a religious sect in its charter and the first to allow women to join Phi Beta Kappa. A small, comprehensive university, it blends the academic heritage of a private university with service missions in the land grant tradition.
