All are welcome to attend the free gospel concert at the North Volney Methodist Church on May 21.
The singing starts at noon and features the Lake Effect Bluegrass Band.
This group was formed in 2002 and includes Neil Shortslef on mandolin, Paul Grondin on banjo and vocals, Karen Campolieto on bass and vocals, Dave Wilson on fiddle and Steve on guitar and vocals.
The band plays at churches, nursing homes and festivals like the Lafayette Apple Festival.
They have also opened for the Delaney Brothers at the Mohawk Valley Bluegrass Association concert.
Other groups scheduled to appear are the Sent Fort, a comtemporary gospel group and the Oswego Valley Fiddlers.
The musicians donate their time to this event but there will be a freewill offering to help them with expenses.
North Volney Methodist Church is located at the corners of county routes 4 and 6 in the Town of Volney.
