LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 4 PM THURSDAY
TO 6 PM EST FRIDAY.

LOCATIONS – OSWEGO COUNTY.
BAND WILL MOVE SLOWLY SOUTH ACROSS THE COUNTY THURSDAY NIGHT AND FRIDAY.

TIMING – LATE THURSDAY AFTERNOON THROUGH EARLY FRIDAY EVENING.

ACCUMULATIONS…STORM TOTALS OF 2 TO 3 FEET ON THE TUG HILL PLATEAU WITH 1 TO 2 FEET POSSIBLE IN OTHER AREAS OF CENTRAL AND NORTHERN OSWEGO COUNTY.

WINDS – WEST 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 35 MPH PRODUCING SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

VISIBILITIES – NEAR ZERO AT TIMES.

IMPACTS – HEAVY LAKE EFFECT SNOW WILL RESULT IN VERY DIFFICULT OR NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TRAVEL AT TIMES IN THE HEAVIEST PORTION OF THE BAND.

LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND SHIFTING NORTH ACROSS THE EASTERN LAKE ONTARIO REGION THIS MORNING.

AT 738 AM EST…NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE DOPPLER RADAR INDICATED A LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND CAPABLE OF PRODUCING SNOWFALL RATES OF 1 TO 2 INCHES PER HOUR.
AND VISIBILITY OF A QUARTER OF A MILE OR LESS.
THIS LAKE EFFECT SNOW BAND WAS LOCATED FROM MANNSVILLE TO LOWVILLE.
