LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 7 PM TUESDAY.

LOCATIONS: OSWEGO COUNTY. GREATEST AMOUNTS ACROSS THE FAR
SOUTHERN PORTION OF THE COUNTY.

TIMING: CONTINUING THROUGH EARLY TUESDAY EVENING.

ACCUMULATIONS: 4 – 7 INCHES TODAY AND 4 – 7 INCHES TONIGHT WITH 1- 3 INCHES TUESDAY IN PERSISTENT SNOWS.

LEADING TO STORM TOTALS OF 12 TO 22 INCHES IN THE MOST PERSISTENT LAKE SNOWS.

WINDS: WEST 25 TO 35 MPH PRODUCING SIGNIFICANT BLOWING AND  DRIFTING SNOW AT TIMES.

VISIBILITIES: LESS THAN A QUARTER MILE AT TIMES.

IMPACTS: LAKE EFFECT SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW WILL PRODUCE VERY DIFFICULT TRAVEL CONDITIONS IN LOCALIZED BANDS WITH SNOW-COVERED ROADS AND VERY POOR VISIBILITY WITH NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS:

IN LAKE EFFECT SNOW THE WEATHER CAN VARY FROM LOCALLY HEAVY SNOW IN NARROW BANDS TO CLEAR SKIES JUST A FEW MILES AWAY.

IF YOU WILL BE TRAVELING ACROSS THE REGION BE PREPARED FOR RAPID CHANGES IN ROAD AND VISIBILITY CONDITIONS.
