OSWEGO, N.Y. – Kyle Brockmann (So., Fairport, N.Y.) and Dan North (Fr., Ilion, N.Y.) paced the Oswego State men’s golf team with matching rounds of 78 to help the Lakers tie for third place at the Oswego State Invitational on Monday with a score of 317.
The invitational was played at the par-71 Oswego Country Club, as Oswego State tied with Hobart in the nine-team meet.
Oswego State “B” placed fifth with a score of 322.
SUNY Delhi claimed the team title with a team score of 301, while Cory Seiler of SUNY Delhi turned in a round of 73.
Dustin Farley (Jr., Utica, N.Y.) was one stroke behind Brockmann after carding a 79 for the top Laker squad. Tyler Wurzer (Fr., Huntington Station, N.Y.) and John Mackie (Jr., Bellport, N.Y.) had identical rounds of 80, while Nick Sterling (Sr., Gouverneur, N.Y.) posted a score of 82.
North led Oswego State “B” with his round of 78, but Tom Mills (So., Macedon, N.Y.) and Matthew Kisloski (Fr., Owego, N.Y.) finished with rounds of 79.
Ryan Ennis (Jr., Rockville Centre, N.Y.) completed the day with a score of 86, while Bryan Leggett (Fr., Ballston Lake, N.Y.) posted a round of 94.
Oswego State next competes at the Elmira Invitational on September 25.
