OSWEGO, N.Y. – In its final meet before competing in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championships, the Oswego State men’s golf team placed fourth out of 12 teams at the Elmira Fall Invitational with a team score of 340 on Tuesday.
SUNY Delhi won the team trophy with a round of 325, while Luke Peterson of Baptist Bible College took medalist honors after winning the playoff hole and carding a score of 79.
Kyle Brockmann (So., Fairport, N.Y.) led the Laker charge with score of 80, which tied for fourth place. Dan North (Fr., Ilion, N.Y.) tied for 15th after finishing with a round of 85 followed by John Mackie’s (Jr., Bellport, N.Y.) 86 to tie for 18th. Dustin Farley (Jr., Utica, N.Y.) and Nick Sterling (Sr., Gouverneur, N.Y.) rounded out the top five for Oswego State, as Farley posted a score of 89 and Sterling carded a round of 91.
The Lakers will participate in the ECAC Mid-Atlantic Championships on Oct. 6-7 at the Blue Heron Hills Golf Club in Macedon.
