CORTLAND, N.Y. – Oswego State volleyball players, Stephanie Bailey (So., Scotia, N.Y.) and Chelsea Crump (Sr., Sandy Creek, N.Y.), were named 2012 Second Team All-SUNYAC Western Division as released by SUNY Athletic Conference Commissioner Azure Davey on Monday.
Bailey paced the team in kills and total blocks with 169 and 50, respectively. In five league matches, she recorded 31 kills with a .234 hitting percentage to go along with six total blocks.
Crump ranked second on the squad in total blocks (22) and service aces (31), and third in kills (153). During five SUNYAC games, she posted 29 kills with a .257 hitting percentage, four service aces, and two block assists.
Bailey and Crump are the first Laker volleyball players to earn all-conference recognition since 2007 when Heidi Armstrong was named Second Team All-SUNYAC Western Division. It also marks the first time that Oswego State had multiple honorees since 2005 when three players were recognized.
Oswego State finished the season at 12-19 overall and 2-4 in SUNYAC play before qualifying for the SUNYAC Playoffs for the first time since 1996.
