Hare turned in 30 saves to help the Lakers clinch the program’s ninth SUNYAC title with a 4-0 win over Plattsburgh to earn SUNYAC Tournament MVP honors.

He got better as the game wore on, as evident by his 14 saves in the third period. He was also a pivotal figure in the Laker penalty-kill unit shutting out the Cardinals in seven power-play chances. Oswego State avenged a pair of regular-season losses to the Cardinals to claim its second league title in four seasons and earned its fourth-straight NCAA Tournament bid.

The No. 3/5 Lakers improved to 23-4-0 with the victory.

Oswego State travels to Michigan on Saturday to skate against the Adrian Bulldogs in an NCAA Quarterfinal at 7 p.m.
