OSWEGO, NY – As a kick-off to celebrate their first year in operation, Lakeside Artisans is bringing Jeanne Dupre, a landscape watercolor artist, to Oswego for a demonstration of painting skies and water.
The demo will take place at Lakeside Artisans, 191 W. First St., on March 3, at 1 p.m.
No reservations are needed.
Dupre says she is “…inspired by daily walks and the ever changing seasons of central New York.”
Her wish is that someone viewing her work will pause a moment in their busy day and admire nature’s beauty.
She has been painting professionally for close to 20 years. Her work can be seen at Lakeside Artisans in Oswego and at a variety of shops throughout the Adirondacks Region.

The following Saturday, March 10, at 1 p.m., Sandra Dowie will offer a demonstration in oil painting techniques.
Although she works in several media (ceramics, fused glass, beaded jewelry), painting in oils is Dowie’s most favorite medium for creative artistic expression. She believes it really defines who she is as an artist.
Lakeside Artisans’ artists’ co-op is located in Canal Commons.
Store hours are Monday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Thursday until 8 p.m., Sunday noon to 5 p.m.
All the artwork available at the store is handcrafted by local artisans.
