OSWEGO, NY – Landa A. Hammond, 60, a resident of Oswego, passed away on June 24, 2019, at the Upstate Medical University in Syracuse.
Born in Oswego, she was raised by her grandparents, Arthur and Zirilda Hamilton and was a graduate of Oswego High School and SUNY Oswego.
She was employed with the Richardson Bates Museum, the Canal Museum and worked at various doctors’ offices before becoming the practice administrator at the Port City Family Medicine.
She was an avid reader and gardener.
Landa will be remembered as the “best gift-giver ever.”
Surviving are her sister, Debra Keating of Oswego; a niece, Meghan Finneran (Francis); her nephew, Ryan Keating (Diana); and a great-niece, Mary Frances Finneran.
Memorial services will be held at the Page Memorial Chapel at Riverside Cemetery on Thursday at 2 p.m.
A private burial for family will follow.
There are no calling hours.
