Lanigan Family Bingo Night Raised Funds for Fourth Grade Field Trip

FULTON – Bingo!

The fourth grade class at Lanigan Elementary, in cooperation with the school’s Parent-Teacher Group, held its annual Family Bingo Night on October 16 and raised about $680 to fund an upcoming trip to WonderWorks in Syracuse.

Families filled the school’s cafeteria and in between bingo games children and adults purchased snacks, drinks and raffle tickets from fourth grade helpers.

Principal Jeff Hendrickson emceed the event.

He called out numbers and encouraged families to visit the fourth grade students as they dished out treats and additional bingo cards.

The students made thank you posters to recognize sponsors for donating raffle items and handed out books, Lanigan water bottles and backpacks as prizes.

Lanigan fourth grade teacher Tracy Waldron said the WonderWorks trip will give the class ideas for a science fair in February.
