Lawrence DelBrocco, 65


OSWEGO, NY – Lawrence DelBrocco, 65, of Oswego, died Wednesday October 3, 2012, in St. Joseph’s Hospital, Syracuse.

He was born in Fulton, the son of the late Lawrence and Antoinette (Pascucci) DelBrocco.

Mr. DelBrocco was the instructor at the training center for the Laborer’s Local #214.

He was affiliated with the Oswego Little League where he was a Little League coach from 1985 until 1992, he was president of the Hot Stove, from 1985 until1992, and president of the Oswego Men’s Bowling Association, and he was an ASA softball umpire.

He was inducted into the softball and bowling halls of fame.

Mr. DelBrocco coached St. Paul’s Leprechaun League.

He was the supervisor for City Youth Basketball and  was a referee for City Basketball for many years.

Mr. DelBrocco is survived by his wife of 43 years, Mary Kay DelBrocco of Oswego; children, Lawrence “Jody” DelBrocco of Oswego, Debra (Chad) Carson of Oswego; grandchildren, Zachary and Sara DelBrocco, and Brady, Eric and Chloe Carson.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday 8:30 a.m. from the Sugar & Scanlon Funeral Home, Oswego, and 9 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Gregory Kreinheder.

Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

Calling hours will be Sunday 2 – 5 p.m. at the funeral home, 147 W. Fourth St., Oswego.
