OSWEGO, NY – Lawrence N. Boardway, 71, a resident of Schuyler Street in Boonville, and a former resident of Oswego, died Sunday Sept. 21, 2008, at St. LukeÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã¢â€žÂ¢s Hospital in Utica.
Mr. Boardway was born in Oswego, the son of the late Matilda Boardway.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a mason on numerous local projects.
He was a member of the Bricklayers Union, Local #54.
He had lived in Boonville for the past 15 years.
Mr. Boardway was an active volunteer in the Boonville area.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by two daughters, Barbara (Robert) Fahsel of Brewerton, and Jo Ann Merritt of New Haven; three sons, Lawrence J. Boardway of Boonville, Timothy Boardway of Fulton, and Ronald Boardway of Fulton; seven grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.
Funeral services will be private.
Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 E. Second St., Oswego.
