Man in Custody for Child Sex Abuse and Mexico Animal Abuse Complaint

OSWEGO COUNTY – Connie Sok, 55, who was arrested on Friday, April 24^th, 2026, was arraigned in Oswego County CAP Court that night and released.  She was charged with 44 counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child.  Based on her actions there were no applicable felony charges, and she was not eligible for bail pursuant to New York State Law.

This morning, April 27^th, 2026, James Cooley, 79, was arrested at 90 Tudo Road in Mexico and charged with one count of Sexual Abuse in the second degree, one count of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, and three counts of Overdriving, Torturing and Injuring Animals; Failure to Provide Proper Sustenance.  The child sex abuse investigation is what originally led Sheriff’s investigators to 90 Tudo Road on the evening of April 17^th, where they uncovered widespread animal abuse while on the property.  He will be arraigned this evening in Oswego County CAP Court.

This investigation remains open and more charges may come.
