OSWEGO COUNTY – The New York State Police at SP Pulaski are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the owner of a recovered kayak.
On April 5, 2026, a red kayak was located in the Salmon River near the Village of Pulaski. The owner reportedly observed the kayak lodged on a tree in the river but chose not to attempt recovery due to safety concerns. A nearby resident was notified at the time that the owner intended to retrieve the kayak once water levels receded.
The kayak was later reported to authorities by a passerby, and the local fire department assisted in recovering the property.
The kayak is currently being held at SP Pulaski. The owner is asked to contact the New York State Police at 315-298-1441 to claim the property.
