Woodworth Resignation from Fulton Common Council

FULTON – Tuesday, Fulton Common Council meeting began with Mayor Rice’s proclamation recognizing The Fulton Garden Club. 1st Ward Councilor Mark Woodworth announced his resignation, and the mayor outlined the process for selecting a replacement.

Kim Park of the Oswego Land Bank addressed questions from Councilor Mark Sherman and Frank Castiglia about ongoing property rehabilitations. Councilor Sherman opposed the agreement with the new tenant at the Bull Head Point Welcome Center, while Frank Castiglia advocated for extended hours to ensure public bathroom availability during events.

Sandy Rodgers talked about the last common council meeting and the two employment resolutions, and the public were not informed that they would be voting on them, and public did not have an opportunity to comment.

Tim Farrell raised concerns about an Airbnb in his neighborhood.

County Legislator Ryan noted that the city charter and current lot size requirements are outdated. Frank Castiglia remarked that Leafy Wonders has not fulfilled its original plans.
