OSWEGO – Come and learn to paint with watercolors. No drawing experience or artistic skill required.
Through demonstrations and individual, hands-on help, you will learn some basic watercolor techniques.
The class will work on two Birch Trees paintings that will guide you through the steps to complete the finished paintings.
Class is set for June 27 from 6-9 p.m. at the Oswego Civic Art Center.
Robert Jones designed this class for individuals that have never painted, done a little, or done some but could use some guidance.
Jones was a local technology teacher for 28 years and took up watercolor painting four years ago. ““Watercolor painting has encouraged me to look at details of light, shadows, colors, movement and reflection in the environment,” Jones said.
The overall theme of the class is to have fun and be creative. Watercolor Cotman paints, Arches watercolor paper, brushes and related resources will be provided for the class.
Feel free to bring your own beverage to this three-hour class. Limited to 12 people with a minimum of four in order to hold the class.
