Leighton Elves Spread Holiday Cheer

OSWEGO – As Leighton School’s Holiday Elves wrap up another successful giving season they would like to give thanks to the many donors who helped make the Leighton School Christmas Project possible.

This year, 83 children from 22 families aged newborn – 12th grade received gifts from the Holiday Elves.

Gifts included toys, books, clothing, shoes, boots, coats, hats, mittens, Big M gift cards, boxes of food, and fresh fruit.

All gift items were collected through donations from many local organizations, people and businesses.

The Leighton Holiday Elves would like to thank St. Mary’s Church parishioners, Business and Professional Women’s Group, Oswego Children’s Board, Exelon, Women’s Evening Torch from United Methodist Church, Ladies of the Elks, Ontario Orchards, Dr. Dennis Fruce, Wal-Mart, Big M, Compass Federal Credit Union, Entergy, Ladies Auxiliary of the Elks, The Hibernians, Alliance Church, current and past faculty, staff and families of Leighton School, Pearl Walpole and Pat Harrington for the generous support of the project.
