Lena Ã¢â‚¬Å“PeanutÃ¢â‚¬Â P. Allison, 77, a resident of 247 East Tenth St. Oswego, passed away March 15, 2010 at St. LukeÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Health Services.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late William and Lena (Knowlton) Shurtliff.
She was a life resident and attended local schools.
Lena worked as a Machine Operator for Comstock Foods for over 28 years retiring in 1988.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. She served on its Alter Guild, a member of the Choir and the Bright and Cheerful Circle.
Surviving are a daughter, Kimberly Mann of Indiana; three sons, Jessie Hill of Oswego; James Allison Jr. of Oswego; Blaine Allison of Port Charles, Louisiana; two sisters, Edith Miller of Rochester and Grace Familo of Oswego; two brothers, William Shurtliff of Oswego and Robert Shurtliff of Rochester; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, James Allison; a daughter, Bobby Jo Donahue and two sisters, Wilma Farella and Helen Lawson.
Funeral Services will be held 10:30a.m. Friday at the Trinity United Methodist Church. Spring burial will be in PeckÃ¢â‚¬â„¢s Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Thursday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
