Leonard E. Bateman, 83, formerly of Fulton, died May 19, 2010.
Leonard was a truck driver and a member of the Teamsters Union Local 317. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII. Leonard was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, June Muckey Bateman, who died in 2009; his youngest son, Eric Bateman, who died in 2007 and a brother, Earnest Bateman, who died in 2001.
Surviving are six sons, Jeff (Sherry) Bateman, Keith (Lori) Bateman, Martin Bateman, Timothy (Deborah) Bateman, Jim Bateman and Kris (Peggy) Bateman; three daughters, Cheryl Bateman, Lynne (LaVerne) Ryder and Jeannine (Don) Rammage. Leonard is also survived by 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Calling hours are 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday with a service to follow at Foster Funeral Home, 910 Fay St., Fulton. Burial with military honors conducted by the U.S. Navy will be in St. Maryâ€™s Cemetery, Fulton.
