Leslie “Les” A. Baker, Sr.

Leslie “Les” A. Baker, Sr., 68, of Martville, died at home Tuesday, November 30th.

A native of Hannibal, he was a life resident. Les retired as a custodian at the Hannibal High School after 10 years and had previously worked at Owens Illinois for 10 years and Nestle Company for 25 years both in Fulton. He had served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1967 and was a member of the Fair Haven American Legion Post #658. He was the son of the late Jack and Harriet (Ingersol) Baker.

Surviving are his wife of 29 years, Vickie Baker of Martville; eight children, Thomas Halstead of TX, Leslie Baker, Jr. of Fulton, Jack Baker of Hannibal, James Dashnau of Cato, Bonnie Burdick of Fulton, Candice Delahunt of Fulton, Ginny Duggan of Malta and Traci Gushlaw of Oswego; 19 grandchildren; a sister, Betty Raponi of CA; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no services or calling hours.

    the staff at D.S. Humphrey’s extend our sincerest condolences to Vickie and the rest of Les’ family. He will be missed.
