Let’s Get Ready To Save A Life

Submitted Article

OSWEGO, NY – The holiday season is fast approaching, during which we will all be attending parties, events and family gatherings.

Would you know how to respond if a life threatening emergency were to occur?

You would if you take the time now to become certified in American Red Cross CPR/AED.

The Red Cross will be offering Child and Infant CPR/AED on Nov. 13 from 5:30 – 10:30 p.m.

This class is great for parents, parents-to-be and anyone else who may spend time with infants and children.

Participants learn to recognize and care for infants and children in life threatening respiratory or cardiac emergencies.

On Nov. 17 and 18 there will be a Standard First Aid with Adult CPR/AED offered.

Upon successful completion of the two-night course, participants will be certified in First Aid for a three-year period and CPR/AED for a one-year period.

This class provides participants with the skills and knowledge to act in an emergency situation.

Participants will learn to recognize and respond to life threatening emergencies.

For those who have already taken the American Red Cross Adult CPR class but need to recertify there will be an Adult CPR Review class on Nov. 19 from 5:30 – 8 p.m.

Recertification is required to update your skills and keep your knowledge current.

All of these community health and safety classes are held at the Oswego Branch office, 333 W. First St., Oswego.

For more information about these or any other American Red Cross class, visit www.syrarc.org or call 343-0967.
