OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Public Library’s Learning Center will offer a four-part Introduction to Computers workshop on September 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Each class is free and runs from 10 a.m. to noon.
Topics covered by the instructor include: mouse and keyboard basics, getting started with programs, basic hardware components, and introduction to the Internet.
No previous experience with computers is necessary.
The Library Learning Center will also offer a four-session Internet Basics workshop on September 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 2 to 4 p.m.
This free workshop will include topics such as how to connect to the Internet, how to use a web browser, searching for information, online privacy and safety, email and social media.
In addition to our introductory workshops, the Library Learning Center will feature Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Couponing with the Computer, Selling on Ebay, Computer Tune Up, and iPad Basics.
Dates and times are as follows:
September 5 – Microsoft Excel 10 a.m. – noon
September 10 – Microsoft Word 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
September 12 – Couponing with the Computer 10 a.m. – noon
September 19 – Selling on Ebay 10 a.m. – noon
September 24 – Computer Tune Up 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
September 26 – iPad Basics 10 a.m. – noon
The Library Learning Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library and is open Monday-Friday.
All programs are free and open to the public.
