OSWEGO, NY – The Oswego Public Library’s Library Learning Center will offer a four-part Introduction to Computers workshop on November 5, 12, 19 and 26.
Each class is free and runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
Topics covered by the instructor include: mouse and keyboard basics, getting started with programs, basic hardware components and introduction to the Internet.
No previous experience with computers is necessary.
The Library Learning Center will also offer a four-session Internet Basics workshop on November 3, 10, 17 and 24 from 10 a.m. to noon.
This free workshop will include topics such as how to connect to the Internet, how to use a web browser, searching for information, online privacy and safety, email and social media.
In addition to our introductory workshops, the Library Learning Center will feature Windows 8, iPad Basics, Pinterest, Facebook, iPhone Assistance Lab, and Microsoft Publisher.
November 3 – Windows 8 – 2 to 4 p.m.
November 7 – iPad Basics – 10 a.m. to noon
November 8 – Pinterest – noon to 2 p.m.
November 12 – Facebook – 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.
November 17 – iPhone Assistance Lab – 2 to 4 p.m.
November 24 – Microsoft Publisher – 2 to 4 p.m.
The Library Learning Center is located on the lower level of the Oswego Public Library and is open Monday-Friday.
All programs are free and open to the public.
