Library Offers ‘Learn To’ Make Temari Balls

OSWEGO – The next session in the Oswego Public Library’s “Learn To” series is actually two sessions. Project leader Dixie Nohara will instruct participants in the art of Temari Balls.

On May 18, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m., Nohara will give an overview of the history of the Temari Ball; then from 11:45 a.m. to 2 p.m. on that day she will guide participants through the process of making a Temari Ball.

The second session May 25 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. will allow participants to finish their Temari Ball.

Previous needlework is recommended but not required.

The class is limited to 10 people, but the history portion on May 18 from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. is open to all.

The “Learn To” session on Temari Balls and the materials for the class are sponsored by the Friends of the Library.

To reserve a place in the class, sign up at the front desk in the library or call 315-341-5867.
