Literacy Volunteers of Oswego County (LVOC) is proud to announce that Leon Shapiro Motor Sales is the sponsor of a car for the winner of the Hole-in-One Contest to be held at LVOC’s 12th Annual Golf Tournament. Golfers will “tee off for literacy” at the Oswego Country Club, 610 West First Street, Oswego on Monday, August 16th.

Scheduled for an 11:00 a.m. shotgun start, the Captain and Crew format will feature 18 holes of golf, chair massages, magnificent prizes and great food. Continental breakfast will be provided by Dunkin Donuts, with lunch on the course from Canale’s and Rudy’s Lakeside. The awards ceremony will follow with a steak dinner.

Major sponsors include the Empower Federal Credit Union, NRG, Oswego County Federal Credit Union, Entergy, Eastern Shore Associates, Constellation Energy, Pathfinder Bank, Excellus BlueCross BlueShield, Felix Schoeller North America and Fulton Savings Bank.

“We are extremely pleased to have the support of these companies,” said Susan Coultrap-McQuin, president of the LVOC Board. “These businesses recognize the importance of literacy as a key building block to personal and community success.”

Registration is $500 per four-person team. Sponsorships are still available ranging from $100 to $1,000. Prizes will be given for first, second and third place, as well as Closest to the Pin, Longest Drive and last, but not least, a last-place prize.

In addition to all the fun on the course, there will be raffles and a silent auction.
