Local Sponsors Support Kids and Trucks Event

Oswego, NY – Oswego County Federal Credit Union has stepped up to be a major sponsor of the Friends of Camp Hollis’ (FOCH) Kids and Trucks Event. The event will be held at the State University College at Oswego’s Romney Field Parking Lot on Route 104 West, Oswego on Saturday, August 13 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to help raise funds for children to attend Camp Hollis.

Entrance fee is $4.00 a person, children under 2 are free. Family and large group rates are available. This family fun event will feature a full range of vehicles such as construction vehicles, fire trucks, tow trucks and more for children to climb on and get up close to and inspect! The Oswego Lions Club will be distributing free bicycle helmets.

Other sponsors include the Oswego Lions Club, Fulton Rotary Club, Oswego Elks Lodge and Pathfinder Bank.

“We are extremely pleased to have the support of these companies,” said Alyssa Amyotte, Chairperson of the Friends of Camp Hollis board. “These businesses recognize the importance of the camp experience for children.”
The Friends of Camp Hollis, a not-for-profit support system for the camp, began developing a series of fundraisers and grant writings strategies to help provide scholarships for needy families.

Aimee Johnson, Treasurer and Chairperson of the event states: “FOCH is very excited to be sponsoring the Kids and Trucks event again this year. People of all ages can have a good time at this event and help support one of Oswego County’s greatest assets.”
