Alexis Darla Alfano, 12,of Oswego was selected by the National American Miss Pageant(NAM) as a contestant.
Alexis and the other contestants across New York will compete in Rochester in July for the NAM title of New York.
(NAM) pageant is one of the largest most popular and most prestigious pageant systems in the world. More than $1,500.000 in scholarships, prizes and awards are awarded to deserving young ladies nationwide.
(NAM) is a program helping young ladies to grow and expand their ideas about who they are, and what they would like to achieve.
(NAM) stresses that age appropriate activities and attire are a must in all age divisions, and family oriented, with family involvement.
At the state level, the winner will carry the Queen’s title for one year, and will visit with the Governor, make appearances with local sports teams and be an honor speaker at the State Fair, and participate in parades, etc.
The winner and 4 runners up will be invited to the national pageant in Los Angeles California in November where they will compete for the National All American Miss Title with finishers from cross the country.
Alexis who is in the pre-teen division (ages 10-12) will be competing in the following categories Acting, Casual Wear Modeling, Top Model Photo Shoot, Photogenic and Formal Wear. We would like to wish Alexis Good Luck.
Alexis is the daughter of Heather Moody and Vincent Alfano. She is a sister to Alissa and has 2 brothers, Alex and Ashton. She is the grandaughter to Donna Moody (Steve) of Hannibal, Claude Moody (Ann) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Vincent Alfano (Laurie) of Fulton, Marge Butler of South Carolina.
She is the great-granddaughter of Catherine and the late Donald Chillson of Hannibal.
